Which Size Do I Need for My Property?
It depends on the work you plan to do:
- Around 1 ton (R06, R10): yards, gardens and tight spaces. Good for small trenches, irrigation lines, planting and light cleanup.
- 1.3 to 1.8 tons (R13, R15, R18): the most popular size for acreage and farms. Drainage, fence lines, stumps, small ponds and grading.
- 2 tons and up (R22, R32): bigger land clearing, deeper digging and heavier lifting.
Keep in mind that a bigger machine also needs a bigger trailer and truck to move it. Tell us what you want to do, and we’ll help you pick the right size.
How Hard Is It to Learn?
Most owners are comfortable after a short practice session. When you pick up your machine, we show you how to operate it: the controls, safety basics and daily checks. You can also come by the showroom before you buy and see one run.
ECO vs PRO: What’s the Difference?
The series are designed for different user needs. The ECO Series (like the R10 and R15) is optimized for efficiency and value, typically powered by the reliable Kubota Z482 engine, making it perfect for landscaping and DIY projects. The PRO Series (such as the R13 and R18) is engineered for professional contractors, featuring more powerful Kubota D722 or D902 engines, upgraded pilot-operated controls for smoother handling, and enhanced hydraulic systems for demanding job sites.
How Do Telescopic Tracks Work?
Many models, including the R13 and R15, feature XPANDABLE™ telescopic tracks. This system allows you to retract the tracks to a narrow width to fit through standard garden gates or interior doorways. Once you reach the work area, you can extend the tracks for a wider footprint, providing maximum stability and traction on uneven or rough terrain.
Which Engines Power RIPPA Machines?
To ensure high performance and ease of local maintenance, Rippa mini excavators primarily use world-renowned engines. Most diesel models are equipped with Kubota engines (such as the D722 or Z482), while some compact options utilize Briggs & Stratton gasoline engines. These engines are selected for their fuel efficiency, low noise levels, and compliance with international emission standards.
Delivery & Pickup Options
There are two ways to get your machine:
- Pickup: Pick up your machine at our Spokane Valley warehouse by appointment. Bring your own trailer and tie-down straps. Our team will help you load and secure it.
- Shipping: We arrange shipping through a licensed third-party carrier. Send us your ZIP code and the model, and we’ll come back with a firm quote, usually the same business day. Shipping is quoted separately and isn’t included in the machine price.
Warranty, Parts and Service
Every machine comes with a 1-year manufacturer parts warranty. If you have a problem or need parts, call us first at (509) 824-6655. We’ll help you with warranty questions and ordering parts. RIPPA machines use Kubota engines on most diesel models, so engine parts are easy to find.
How to Make a Payment?
We accept the following payment methods:
- Bank wire transfer
- Cash
- Cashier’s check
- Zelle for deposits only
All purchases must be paid in full before the equipment is picked up. Once payment is received and cleared, we will confirm the order and coordinate the next step for pickup.
For cash payments over $10,000, federal law requires us to collect the required customer information and file IRS/FinCEN Form 8300. This is a standard reporting requirement for businesses receiving cash payments over $10,000 in a single transaction or related transactions.
